I love using the SFX from Mario games, it opens such a great and expanded area of creativity. I therefore just had to fix this using sound effects and variations on the beat instead and finishing the track off with a custom melody as a euphoric ending for the track. By that, I don't mean the melody is bad, it's a great and mystical melody, but it's so short and keeps repeating, and that gave me some challenge trying to make variations for the remix. The main melody is so dull after a while. I'm not sure where to put the genre for this song, but I think it's leaning towards drumstep or drum & bass. The mix of dubstep and DnB is, however, called drumstep. I am really not a DnB and neither a dubstep producer, but I really like to produce any style, really any! So I had to just improvise and keep working. Since I already had completed a electro remix from the first SMW game, I just had to finish this project too. It was the drum and bass/ dubstep remix I started a bit back on the castle theme from SMW2. I was looking through all my projects and found this half-finished project lying around. I did the electro remix of the castle theme from SMW. It is created in FL studio using real in-game sounds from the game and synths like: Massive, Nexus, Z3TA, as well as built in plugins in FL Studio.

I used the same building blocks which I made "Cosmic Awareness" with for this track.

"Amazing melody from the popular SNES game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island castle level. We ended LAST week with some Banjo from B-laze(Kenneth Nordsveen), and now he's back to start THIS week in style with a spooktacular EDM arrangement of "Castle & Fortress" from SMW2 which effectively changes gears midway from dubstep into drum & bass territory:
